It's not the destination, it's the journey.
In our every-changing world it is my goal to capture and preserve fading roadside attractions and our American landscapes for future generations. I started my recent artistic journey of woodblock carving and print making to record our family vacations, providing my kids with a unique documentation of our adventures, going beyond our digitally captured iPhone pictures and Instagram posts.
My print making subject matter focuses on natural landscapes, abandoned buildings, filling stations, and neon signs. From roadside attractions to iconic Western landscapes, my mission is to record slices of America, while sharing my art with a larger audience and inspiring people to travel and explore our county. The viewer is captivated by the large-scale format, dramatic compositions, textural details, and striking black and white graphics of my prints.
My artistic goal is simple: I aim to create art that connects with a larger audience while recording our natural wonders and roadside attractions for future generations.
